Requires
2.00 firmware
You need the PlayStation Portable with 2.00 version firmware. If the firmware version is 1.51 or 1.52, you need to update it to the 2.00 version.
Files
- EBOOT_1.50.zip (contain EBOOT.PBP)
- MPHDowngrader.zip (contain downgrader.txt, h.bin, index.dat, overflow.tif)
You can download these files from the PSP Updates.
Copying files
Extract the EBOOT_1.50.zip and MPHDowngrader.zip.
Create a UPDATE folder in the \PSP\GAME folder of your memory stick and copy EBOOT.PBP to it.
Copy overflow.tif in the \PSP\PHOTO folder.
Copy h.bin and index.bat in the root of the memory stick.
Downgrading
overflow.tif
Plug the AC adaptor in the PSP. Choose the PHOTO icon at the PSP menu. This will launch version changer; the screen goes black and there will be some white characters on the screen.
Wait at least 30 seconds and restart the PSP (hold the power button as long as necessary). After that there should be a file named "index.dat.bak" on the memory stick.
PSP Update ver 1.50
Go to the Game menu ja choose the Memory Stick.
Launch the "PSP Update ver 1.50".
Follow the installing instructions.
When the update reached 99 percent, the following error message appeared on the screen:
Restart the PSP (hold the power button as long as necessary). You will get another error message: "Settings information is corrupted. Press the O button to repair and restore default settings". Press the O button to continue. The PSP should rebooted.
Settings
After the downgrade you have to set the language, time and nickname again.
Now your firmware version should be 1.50.
